Mandrels should be ordered with a shank diameter to fit the power tool collet or chuck. Equally important is the specification of the diameter of the mandrel pilot on which the cartridge roll is mounted. Usually a 1/8" diameter pilot is used for rolls up to and including 1/2" diameter. Rolls from 1/2" up to and including 1" diameter usually require 3/16" or 1/4" diameter pilots.
